AFLCA Player of the Year Award – Round 13, 2012 – Watson? Jobe hits the front!
The bye rounds are over and apart from injuries, all the players on the same number of games. And we have a new leader. The old leader, Scott Pendlebury (2nd, 55 Votes) is still out with an injury and is most likely to miss another week. His co-leader from last week, Matty Boyd (2nd, 55 Votes) was tagger out of the game vs the Lions. This opened the door for a storming last quarter from Jobe Watson (1st, 57 votes) to take the lead with an 8 vote game vs the Dockers. Scott Thompson (2nd, 55 votes) of the Crows got 3 votes in a lossing effort against the Roos to join the others in 2nd.
Trent Cotchin (54 votes) dropped to 5th with the week off while Brent Stanton (59 votes) moved into 6th, Ablett (47 votes) also with a week off dropped a position to 7th, while a 10 vote performance from Dayne Beams (46 votes) jumped him from 14th to 8th. Dangerfield (42 votes) and Josh Kennedy (40 votes) round off the top ten at the end of the round.
