Video – Gary Ablett’s Knee Injury Update
Sun’s captain, high price recruit, Brownlow Favorited and general champion had not his best night of the year and it got worst when, with less then four minutes to go in Q-Clash number 3 he had his knee hyper extended when Brisbane Lions tagger, Andrew Raines, fell across his knee. It looked bad at first but he got to the boundary but was limping.
But the Suns and Gary himself took to twitter to try to put at least a brave face on the situation and commented that there was no structual damage. First came the Suns tweet:
@GaryAblettJnr has jarred his knee, the medicos are confident that there is no structural damage. Will examine again tomorrow & update.

Then came this from Gary himself:
The knee is stiff & sore but the doc reckons structurally it’s fine! Thanks for everyone’s support ? — Gary Ablett Jnr (@GaryAblettJnr) April 21, 2012
So with hundreds of thousands of DreamTeam and SuperCoach players, as well as the growing band of Gold Coast fans, Little Gaz will have scans in the next day or so to see what damage has been done and see if he can play in the coming weeks. We will report on the results of scans and the medical condition of the Brownlow favourite in the coming days. Stay tuned and return for the news! UPDATE: Word is Gaz to only miss 2-3 weeks. Be interesting to see if this is the case or slides out a few. Here is the news from the man himself:
Great result nothing serious, doc thinks 2-3 weeks but I’m confident I can get back earlier! Thanks for your support!
