AFL Coaches Award Votes for Round 1, 2010

The Coaches Award was introduced a while ago now and has become one of the best yearly awards given as it is handed out by the Coaches and they are the ones that know the job there players have done. Comments

  1. No votes for Kade Simpson or Liam Anthony. And how did Bryce Gibbs get any votes?? Is it any wonder that the coaches award is a poor Brownlow guide.

    • I do agree that the votes of the Coaches aren’t a good Brownlow guide but thats not a bad thing. I have seen many players pick a ton of stats and have done absolutely nothing. Remember a day Richo took nearly 20 marks against the Hawks and the Tigers got flogged as the Hawks weren’t manning him up once he got 60m out as they knew he was no danger too them.
On Anthony, did you see the game or going on his DT/SC score?
On the Tigers v Carlton game, if memory serves, Gibbs was tagging Deledio (I think) and Del did basically nothing to help his team win (when the game was there to be won) and Gibbs had a fair amount of it and kicked 2 goals! The votes for the Carlton/Richmond game look fine too me!
